Sic Bo Strategy

Since Sic Bo is a game of chance, it may be difficult to create a perfect strategy or system that will help you beat the house. Every roll of the dice is completely random and every number has just the same chance as coming up as the next. If winning more often (at lower payouts of course) is sufficient for you, then there are some strategies, in terms of betting, that you may want to consider.

Your best chances of winning (the highest odds) are to place “Small” or “Big bets”. Your chances of winning with these are about 50/50. When all three dice are rolled, they will total either in the small side or the big side. However, these bets will only pay you out at even money. These are the most popular bets made in most Sic Bo games. So if you don’t mind just doubling our money then this is probably your safest bet at coming out on top.

Single number bets are also a good bet. With these bets you have a number of chances at hitting at least one number and are sure to come out a winner at least some of the time.

Betting on totals can be appealing, as some have very high payout percentages but the higher the payout the harder it will be to achieve. So if betting on totals is something you would like to try out, it is recommended on betting on either a total of 10 or 11. When the three dice are rolled, these two totals have the best chances of coming up, as the number of combinations totaling these numbers are the highest. The payouts are lower (5-1) than the others for this fact. However you are making less of a gamble by betting on these totals. If for example, you bet on a total of 4 or 17, you will need to be really lucky to hit it, as there is only one possible combination that totals these numbers (1, 1, 2 and 6, 6, 5).

Netting on doubles and triples is pretty difficult to hit, especially triples. But if your feeling really lucky or risks are your forte than go with a “double bet” or “any triple”, you have a better chance at hitting these than a number triple bet and your payouts will be very high.

All in all, Sic Bo is a gambling game of chance. Entertainment is it’s main purpose and if you win some in the end then even better. Take a bankroll with you that you will be comfortable losing and don’t spend anymore, even if you feel lucky. Remember, all casino games are, in the long run, in favor of the casino, so the best strategy to take to the casino with you should be, quit while you’re ahead.
